Richard Henry Yazzie (12/18/1927-10/28/2000) accomplished silversmith, actively contributing to the industry from the 1950’s to 2000. He came from a family with a long legacy in silversmithing, being the grandson of Bah Yazzie, son of Mary H. and Harrison Yazzie, and brother of Wallace H., David, and Frankie Yazzie, and Helen Jack. In addition to his silversmithing work, Richard also worked as a rancher and was involved in the rodeo, excelling as a roper. Notably, he was the primary smith for John Kennedy and Gallup Trading from 1967-69.
